A Bit About Me
Welcome.
I am Lexy Nicole, and I am so glad you are here. I am a Freelance
Proofreader and Copy Editor, who has a passion for reading, researching and editing all types of content.

From a young age, I can remember always having a passion for reading, editing, and writing short stories. In high school, I served as the Clubs Editor for my school's award-winning yearbook. Growing up I was always an analytical and voracious reader, and this passion of mine eventually led to me pursuing a career as a Proofreader and Copy Editor. Each new assignment is an opportunity to delve into another’s thought process, read about their passions and creative vision, and create a final piece of work that is distinct, clear, and is free of any errors.

In December 2018, I completed my Bachelor's of Science in Strategic Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations from Texas Christian University (TCU). Throughout my time at TCU, I took several editing courses including Writing and Editing, Strategic Writing, and Research. In these classes,
I learned The Associated Press Stylebook and The Chicago Manual of Style. I also have a working knowledge of the AMA Style Guide, and I enjoy mastering new style guides and following house style guides. Upon graduation, I also completed a High-Level Proofreading Pro course, where I learned how to work with diverse content, how to edit common mechanical errors, and American and UK spelling.

I have a particular passion for editing medical print and digital communications, due to my career as a credentialing specialist. I look forward to discussing how I can work with you to perfect your creative vision.
